Ets Foundation Since 2012 YMCA Italia Ets has set itself the goal of creating a stronger and more supportive society, placing issues such as racism, discrimination and youth unemployment at the center of its activities , using creativity as a response to
consumerism and the fragmentation of the modern world.YMCA has always cooperated with the most important local and international associations in development towards the poorest countries, engaging in the forefront of education, sports and assistance for the less fortunate.
The history of YMCA in Italy
The first Italian foundations were born in Piemonte in 1851, even before Italy was truly united, until they joined in 1884 in a single national federation, with the desire to take up the universal mission of YMCA International , the Young Men Christian Association, promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of the individual while respecting the traditions and beliefs of each.
